What files contain player's info status.

The game I'm playing is "Project IGI" (not Proj IGI-2).
I would like to save the level that I'm at so that in case I reinstall the game, I can continue where I left off instead of playing from scratch all over again. (Already done that twice and maybe doing it a third time - which I'm trying to avoid)

Anyone knows the type of files that save a player's status and which can be copied back in the event of a reinstall ?

The type of file that contains your saved game varies on the game. They are usually just .sav. To be sure you have the correct ones, look for a file in the games directory that is called Save. Just copy the contents of that folder onto a floppy or CD and paste them back in when you reinstall the game.
