Unhappy Sims Hot Date game problems

My kids love the Sims Hotdate game but it keeps crashing and spoils their fun. I have a Nvidia Riva TNT graphics card, running Windows 98SE, Athlon XP2000 processor, 40GB hard drive and 128 MB RAM so can't see why it is doing this. Any suggestions?

If your sure your computer meets all of the games posted system requirements, have you checked for any patches or updates from the manufacturer. Often times the patches fix random crash problems.

Yes, you have a relatively old video card-make sure you don't need more video ram. Might be about time to upgrade video card, especially given you other hardware.

video card

thanks for your comments - my card has 16MB SGRAM/SDRAM and just had a new motherboard fitted again (previous 2 were faulty!) and this one has onboard memory 128 MB DDRAM.

Any suggestions as to the best video/graphics card under £100?
