video and sound skipping with radeon 7500
when playing mp3s or cds my sound will skip every other second. Also when playing a video such as an mpeg the movie skips real bad. I have a p4 2.4 with 533 bus, and 256 of rdram. I do not have any other programs open while I do this and have about 90% system resources free. Im using an intel mother board d850emv2. Also when playing Grand Theft Auto 3 the sound skips, however if I change the audio hardware to say Aureal 3D (which I do not have) it plays fine.

I just reformatted and i relized that my video (which skipped before) plays fine now that i havent installed my sound card drivers. How can i get sound without installing my sound cards drivers?

If you are having this many problems with the onboard sound, spend the $34 plus shipping on a Soundblaster Live 5.1 and disable the onboard sound.
