Cheap video card
I am looking for a cheap video card. I am building a PC that wont be used for gaming. It will have a 2.4 p4. What would be a cheap card. What would be the minimum for decent gaming. Not hardcore. This is primarly a word/proccessing machine. Budget $80 or cheaper.

For a little more you can get the Radeon 8500/LE which would be better for gaming.

Why not just get a good motherboard with onboard video such as the newer intel boards with the Extreme Graphics or an Asus board with integrated video. These boards are at the top of the list and provide great graphics for non-gaming/video editing machines.
Unless, of course you already have a motherboard then I too would recommend the card that TimPoet listed.

A motherboard with an Intel 845GE chipset. The onboard Intel Extreme Graphics is said to be GeForce 2 MX quality.
If you already have a motherboard, get the Radeon 9000 mentioned above or a Radeon VE 7000 for $42. |
