HELP
I recently installed warcraft 3 on my hardrive and i forgot about the other copy i have installed on my other hardrive. There is no uninstall program so i can delete it. it also doesn't show up in control paned add remove programs. I also cant just delete the folder... I get some error about how some file is write protected. How do i get rid of it? |

well
i have the game and it is showing up in my add/remove programs. what os are you using? check again, there may be a chance you glanced over it. |

Im using win xp . im sure its not there. when i started the cd and the autoload screen came up i clicked on options and i got the option to uninstall. This only uninstalled the 1 that i wanted to keep so i still need to get rid of the othr 1.

sometimes the uninstall file is in the folder of the game itself. look around there if you can find any uninst.... files.
another possibility is that both installantions use the same register an install options. than you should be able to just remove the second folder. if you want to remove the 'write protect ' option of a file, right click on it and the choose properties. the window that appears then should have a selectable box for setting this option. (dont know exactly for XP, i use 98. hope this can help. oh and always remember to back up your savegames.

go to Start>All Programs>Warcraft III>Warcraft III uninstall
thats the uninstall file. if that doesnt work or youve tried it already come back and we'll try and think of something else. |

Thanx i got it now. I installed another copy over it and i got the uninstall file. Thanx for the help

YES IT IS WORTH IT!!! i cant stress that enough...Blizzard never fails to succeed. i love it!
