Suggestions on Extremely demanding game??

Ok..Soon I will have my new system up and running. I was wondering what the most demanding game is as of right now. I looked around and saw that UT2k3 and the new 007 game are a couple of the most demanding I've found. If anyone could recommend a good game plz do so. My future system specs are al follows:

AMD XP2600+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
(2) sticks Kingston 256mb pc 3200 (400mhz)
ATI Radeon 9500pro 128mb
SB Live 5.1
WD 80gb 7200rpm w/8mb cache

I wanna see what this system can do.

Thanks

Solitare....haha but UT2k3 yes - if you get that running smoothly at highest settings put up a post and let me know because I'd be interested in hearing about that. Also, there was one game someone posted where htey said the max frames anyone could get on an amazing computer was 30 fps...try that one?

I tried out doom_iii alpha and would get around 20-30 fps with this system:

P4 2.42 Ghz
Asus P4T-E
Asus Geforce 3 Ti 200
512 MB RDRAM

Try all of the aforementioned games with both AA and AF enabled. Also, Max Payne is a pretty good one with everything all the way up and using AA and AF.

Better yet, Medal of Honor: Spearhead expansion. That thing eats my machine for lunch if I turn everything on. It's strange, MOHAA ran smooth as can be with everything on, but Spearhead doesn't. And I don't see that the graphics are different in Spearhead, either. Eh, the game is amazing though, I gotta admit that.

They say the patch for the expansion clears most of those problems up... however it's 40 megs as I recall when i downloaded it for a buddy of mine. Have fun if you're on dialup

Ut2k3 with the gfx details all the way up with 4x AA on that space/outside map with the low gravity while hosting with 20 bots. Ouch.

If you want to be able to handle Doom III I would get the Radeon 9700 or the Geforce FX (nv30) instead.

Well thank you for the nice list of titles. Looks like I have lots of games to buy! lol I already have UT2k3, but I will definetly be getting GTA3, MOHAA & Spearhead, and SOF2.
As for Doom3, the only thing that interests me about it is the graphics. The game itself sounds like it can and will get old really really fast. I remember the previous Doom games, I didn't really care much for them.

Thanks again for the titles!

That demo BTW should never have leaked out, and whoever did leak it onto the Internet has screwed us because the once nervous and secretive id software company making D3 has had their suspicions confirmed and are now going to be more secretive than ever. This is bad for us because our favorite gaming magazines will not be able to get inside scoops, screenies, and the whole other stuff that we look forward to reading. As Jon Phillips put it in the January issue of MaxPC, "distributing a crude, unfinished version of Doom III to the masses is akin to happening upon a half-finished portrait sitting on an easel in Picasso's front yard, then grabbing it, and rushing it over to the town square for public viewing. Artists have a right to decide when their works are ready for scrutiny, and the id developers were denied that right." So, although we can marvel at the pure awesomeness of Carmack's work, we should give him the respect he is due as a developer and not promote the spread of this unfinished work of art (so to speak).

UT2003 runs at 40-50 FPS on my System at MAX sliders.

I recently saw the Doom III alpha bring a 3GHZ p4 with a geforce4 4600 to its knees, halting the picture for a couple of seconds about every 10 seconds. Not that the final version is going to be like that though, its just not very optimized.

I wish. It takes a toll on me just to browse these forums. I'm looking into a home network, as we have three systems, so I can play games "online" against my brothers.
