Q? on upgradin Video card

need to upgrade to an open GL card.... can somebody suggest a good agp card that will match my system well
was considering ATI/sapphire 8500LE 128mb

i am wondering if anyone can help me...... i have been using my pc for recording music and just got interested in gaming on my pc and know nothing about graphix cards ..... all i want to do is play dark age of camelot and counter strike

PIII 1Ghz 100Mhz fsb overclocked to 133 Mhz (so the AGP bus is 133Mhz aswell because the highest i can set the ratio to be is 1:1 ...so is it worth spending the money on the 8500LE with 128MB....should i go with the 7500 )
asus P2B mobo w/ intel440bx chipset
10 Gig ultrawide scsi seagate drive
256Mb pc100 sdram
230w ps
current video card ati rage pro 3d 8MB AGP

thanks a bunch
if anybody needs help with hard disk recording i'm your man

If your looking for a card for just some casual gaming, I'd go with the Radeon 8500 or the GeForce4 Ti 4200. Both are relatively inexpensive and can be found pretty cheap on newegg (www.newegg.com). Stay away from the GeForce4 MX's.

ATi Radeon 9500 with 128 if you are on a budget but want full support for DX9 and the upcoming games, plus support for AGP 8x.

If you have money burning in your pocket get the 9700 Pro.

i still would recommend the ti4600 although others would disagree.

The 8500 should do the job then (Note that it's been reissued as the 9100 by ATI so if you see one of those you can grab it.).
You might want to add another 256mb of ram as well.
If you think your gaming might get more ambitious the 9700/9500 cards are really good but that depends on your future plans and your budget.

The Saphire 8500 64 mb card at newegg is pretty good and damn cheap. My brother has one and it does a fine job with most games including ut2k3.
