2 graphics card questions
Hi all,
Is anyone out there using the Leadtek GF4 Ti 4400 card? If so, what do you think of it? What do you guys think of Leadtek cards in general. The other question I have is, is it possible to hook up 2 monitors to an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon, like the 7500 AIW, or the 8500DV, etc.? Thanks in Advance. |

Hi Floppyman
I'm running the Leadtek Ti4400 in my main computer. In some senses it's a disappointment. Had stability issues with the drivers taht came with it and with all the newer 40.xx drivers. Had to go with the 30.82's for system stability. I was getting 1 in 3 boots that wouldn't hang up before fully booting into windows. I have a 430 watt Antec power supply too. It's fine with the 30.82's. Also tried to overclock it but wasn't fully stable at overclock and had to go back to the stock speeds. This in spite of the huge heatsinks. In games doesn't appear to be a whole lost faster than my Radeon 8500. It does test faster in 3DMark 2001SE- about 2000 points. |

Hi All,
Hmmm..... what was the name of the vid card maker that just went out of business??? I can't remember, but Leadtek is ringin 1/2 of the proverbial bell.... but I am guessing... LeadTek is supposed to be a nice card, but I've never used them. TwoRails |

Ah, good, skeeter! Thanks! I didn't want Floppyman buying a card that's already dead in the water
![]() TwoRails PS: At least I had the "Tek" part right! That's half the bell

Visiontek is hurting badly, though I dont think they are quite dead yet. Seems they have plans to start making ATi cards...

VisionTek is all but gone, currently they are in foreclosure. I have read that they are trying very hard to make another go of it. But it doesn't sound like it is very promising after the banks get done.
Too bad because from what I have seen they made pretty good cards. Better than the LeadTeks from the tests I have seen. The only plus I have seen is you can pick them up really cheap now. |

When I ordered my Alienware, way-back-when(a year or so), I chose a VisionTek GeForce3 as my video card. However, they sent me a PNY GeForce3 by mistake. Maybe that's a good thing now? Also, if I saw any close-out deals on a VisionTek card, I'd snap it up, as long as it was cheap.
