Video card for new build
I am still planning my new computer and need some advice about vid. cards (and everthing else but that is for another thread). I am building this system to capture analog/ digital video and images and record to cd and vcr.
Is the 9700 All in wonder a good choice? If not, what do yo suggest? Thank You for your advice |

Any ATI All-in-Wonder should do, but the 9700 would be better then others if you plan to do any gaming. However, I yield to pam123 on this subject, as she seems to be the ATI expert around here.

Apologies to Audiyoda and HAL
I see from this thread: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...=video+editing ; that you've been gathering info. Good for you. I can't improve on anything Audiyoda or RJ said to you. Here's Anandtech's review of the Card :http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1740&p=1 Since the card comes with Pinnacle software if you're adding an Audigy sound card or opting for the ATI DV you won't have any problems there.
