checking how many fps i get a second
how do i check how many fps i get in games like gta3 unrealy 2003 and counterstrike can someone tell me step by step so that i can see how many fps i get?

It depends on the game. In Nascar Season 2002, you press f on the keyboard to toggle fps on and off.

Yes, and also, in most OpenGL games, there is a console command for it. Press the '~' key to bring up the console, and the command is usually along the lines of 'cg_drawfps', or 'cg_togglefps', you get the point. Check the Readme, or the game's website for the exact command.

Or, you can do a search for fraps and use that.

For specific games, it's either in their manual or (I cringe to say it) in a list of released cheats.

Most official game sites have a console command list and if you can't find one do like force stated and look for a cheat list.

Quake 3 and other quake3 engine games:
in the console: /cg_drawfps 1 To set the maximum FPS in quake3 engine games: in the console: /com_maxfps x where x is max fps UT2k3: in the console: stat fps BF1942: in the console: Console.showfps 1
