FEB 4th, 2003! BE PREPARED!

UNREAL 2 will be released. Everyone should go get it. It will re-define the way first-person shooters should be. It will be awesome.

Unreal 2

I hope it's as ground-breaking as the original - however, we'll just have to wait and see.

Well thank you. I do wonder if I should have gotten the 9700pro at times (like right now, talking about new "re-defined" videogames) But w/the GF FX and the new ATI card on the horizon, I figured I'd hold off

As for the Unreal 2, the screenies are awesome! Too bad the chick w/the snake tatoo on her stomach is just an animated character...hehehe

I haven't done any research on it, but I've read somewhere (can't remember where) that ATI is busy with building a new card to compete with the GeForce FX. I'm not 100% sure if its reliable though. Oh yeah, and the ATI card is supposed to use DDR-II.

I dont think it will be a completely new card, but an R300 core that is clocked higher with perhaps more/better memory (no doubt the Radeon 9800!! )

i don't know the requirements for sure but since it will use an engine very similar to UT2003 then i guess they will have similar minimum requirements of:
CPU: 733Mhz
RAM: 128MB
VIDEO: 16MB or higher

hey just stopped by ebgames.com and they said you'll need a minimum of 256MB of RAM. Good thing I have 1024MB.

Here's everything:

System Requirements:
Operating System: Windows 98/2000/Me/XP
Processor: Pentium III or AMD Athlon 733 MHz or higher (Pentium(r) or AMD 1.2 GHz or greater recommended)
Memory: 256 MB RAM (384 MB or greater recommended)
Hard Disk Space: 3.0 GB Free
CD-ROM Drive: 8X Speed
Video: 32 MB NVIDIA GeForce2 MX or better (NVIDIA GeForce3/ATi Radeon 8500 or better recommended)
Sound: Windows compatible sound card. (NVIDIA nForce or other motherboard/soundcard containing the Dolby Digital Interactive Encoder required for Dolby Digital audio.) Sound Blaster Audigy series sound cards recommended.
DirectX: DirectX version 8.1 (included) or higher
Modem: An Internet connection is not required to play this game. However, level files created with the Unreal Editor may be shared and/or downloaded. An Internet connection and a 33.6 kbps or faster modem (Cable/DSL recommended) is required for sharing and downloading.

As far as ATI goes, as a company they are always looking for bigger and badder products (like any good company should be doing) and there is no official word but their latest card has been out for awhile and it only makes sense that they will come out w/ another one soon that will better compete w/ the FX.

I am contemplating buying it, but I wish blockbuster had it so I could rent it to preview play it.
Essentially, is the game just like UT2k3 only 1 player?
