I used to CS, played 2 hours a day it seemed. Finally got off of that virtual crack, was so addicting I couldn't stop lol. What did it was I was tired of people wanting to play dust. :-(

It's still free? Think I'll start playing again. Quit playing CS because there were so many cheaters- has this probem been fixed?

Actually I haven't noticed a big problem with hacking as for most ppl it ruins the game, although there are a few.

Yeah, I've been out of the CS loop for a version. How is 1.6 since it came out today?

_bad news_
Steam Beta 2.0 Admission Suspended -- Thursday, January 16, 2003 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Counter-Strike and Team Fortress communities have maxed out the Steam 2.0 beta servers, resulting in the temporarily suspension of admission to the beta as more content servers are put online. The current Steam content servers offer over 500 megabits of bandwidth, all of which the community is consuming right now. Anyone interested in hosting a Steam content server should email biz@steampowered.com. (Content server requirements can be found at www.steampowered.com.) Those who have already joined the beta are encouraged to continue their participation and submit their feedback. -- cliffe I got that at counter-strike.net O well...soon enough |

well steam is the new way for valve to control everything on the cs servers (a global ban list for exemple) and they can add a gun and everyone that will open cs and want to play a game will download it instead of big 150mo patches at each 6months. they can add maps and everything like that, control cheaters and it adds a new thing it's like msn messenger but in CS! will be cool for sure. you can add friends talk to them and even join games from cs. thats all I know.... I want 1.6 !!
Happy fraggin' and we don't see cheaters anymore .. on quebec servers though
