Hosting a game in Warcraft III using a Linksys router
Hi...Does anyone know how to make it so that you can host a game in Warcraft III (battle.net) when using a Linksys router. Any time I host a game, people cannot see it and I was told it was because I had to get my router to forward the ports for Battle.net. I followed the instructions on the Linksys website:
http://kb.linksys.com/cgi-bin/om_isa...W_ENU_JDocView But, it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? |

Is there a dmz in the router? Place the comp in the dmz, but this decreases security. You should run a software firewall to block all the other ports that are not warcraft utilised. just some thoughts 4 u

Yes, the router has DMZ. What do I put in the for the IP address under the DMZ option? It says 192.168.1.0, where 0 is the number I have to change. What IP address do I use, the one assigned for my own computer? Sorry, not too skilled on the networking side of computers.
