Exclamation Updating Video card drivers??

Ok, I'm not 100% sure how to do this so I want to just make sure. I have the ATI Radeon 9500pro and I want to upgrade from the Catalyst 2.4 drivers that came on the cd with the new 3.0 drivers. First off, does anyone know of a good reliable place I can Download the new drivers from. When I go to the ATI site and "search for a driver" I only get the Catalyst 2.5 .

Ok, How to I install the new drivers? Do I have to UNinstall the old drivers? If so, whats the best way of doing that? Or can I just run the installer and Install over the old drivers, or will this cause conflict? I only want to do this once. I'm not in the mood to give myself a big head ache, which is why I came to you guys.

Thanks

Thanks. Also do I have to run Directx9 with the Catalyst 3.0 drivers or can I just stay with DX 8.1?

Well, as I type this I'm Running the Catalyst 3.0 drivers with DirectX 8.1. I just got done running 3Dmark and the new drivers gave me a 300+ point boost. I'm still contiplating if I should go ahead and Install DirectX 9.0 or not.
Only problem I noticed is that when I right click on desktop and go to properties; then to settings; When I click on "advanced" it takes a while to open up. Weird.....

They recommend the DX9 to go with the Catalyst 3.0's. Dunno why you're only getting the 2.5's, I get the 3.0's http://mirror.ati.com/support/driver...e&cmdNext=Next

Hal,
I installed the 3.0 drivers and they gave me a 300+ point increase in 3dmark. I just havn't installed DirectX 9.0 yet. I'm afraid If I install it I'll have problems and It'll be hell getting back to Dx8.1 .

Well I am now running the Catalyst 3.0 drivers with Directx 9.0

So far so good. I downloaded a couple screen savers and one of the demos from that link you gave me pam. The car demo is sweet! Very nice. Thanks everyone for the links. Appreciate it.
