need new video card

Hi. Im in the market for a new video card. I have about 180$ to spend. I need to know what card would be the best choise for the money. I have a few idea but I dont really have any idea what cards are good right now. Here are the two I picked out.

ATI OEM RADEON 9500 128MB DDR BULK 159$
GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GeForce 4, 8X AGP. Ti 4200, 3.6ns, 128MB DDR. 168$

Are any of these good or if u have any better options plz let me know. I really appritiate your help.

Those are both good choices. I think I would go with the Radeon 9500. I think it should be a little faster than the Ti4200, plus it's cheaper.

Definetely go with the 9500 if you can turn it into a 9700.

The site says u need the right 9500, Is the one I found the right 1. I got it from newegg.com

Has anyone tried the mod and got it working. If its real , sweet, im getting the 9500.

It's definetely real. I've heard many have had success with it. The card you chose is exactly the right one. The 9500 (not pro) with 128mb.

Would it be easy to do. I wouldnt do teh hardware upgrade but the software 1. If it alot of configuring. Or just install and go.

I'd say go for the ATI card. Better bang for your buck and lots of opportunity to mod.

As long as you follow the directions, it shouldn't be hard. Maybe a little time consuming, but worth it I'd say.
