Gf3 Ti200
I want to know if there is a big performance difference between the TI200 64MB and the TI200 128MB. I just want to know about these cards not no other suggestions.

For newer games the extra 64MB would really come in handy, so I would recommend going what that.

I just played (tried to play, actually
) the 007 NIghtfire demo with my GF3 Ti200 64MB and experienced lots of jags!Dunno if it's because of the VRAM or the GPU itself.

Nightfire isn't a great performer, even on my system. Then again, I'm running it at 1600x1200!

I'm running a straight GF 3 (kinda rare) but it flies. Don't forget that you may need to get updated drivers and the like. Any flavor of GF3 is probably very old stock and has old drivers to go with it.
Don't have the 007 game yet.... I'll pick it up when it hits the bargin bins ![]() Oh, for speed ratings, on a scale of ten, the 200 was "4", the straight GF 3 was about an "8" and the 500 was the "10". HTH TwoRails |

Hi Fuze,
Not sure what your asking.... all GF cards, regardless of maker, use the nvidia GPU. TwoRails |

LOL
-- That's a good one, Fuze!!! It's the kind of typo I make!! Wow, that's a good one! It's almost like the PC versus MAC and Intel versus AMD discussions. ATI has a history of having driver problems, plus lack of driver support. Their newer cards, and image (as in trying to be better on drivers and such) have gotten much better. Ignoring the driver issue, it is kind of hard to compare the two, IMO, because of the oranges / apples thing. For instance, the 9500 ATI compares to the GF 4 cards roughly in "performance," but there are other differences that need pointed out. The 9500 is a DX 9 card, and the GF 4 is not. It is generally stated that the 9500 series have a "truer" picture, but the GF 4 is better for gaming. The 9700 series can't really be compared to the GF 4 cards, as they are in a different class and need to be comparted to the GF "5" (aka GF fx), but that card is not even released yet.... I'm not really an ATI fan, but tried to not let that influence the above, so if I butchered it, the ATI fans will surely straighten me out HTH TwoRails |
