Hercules vs. Sapphire

Im thinkin of purchasing a Radeon 8500LE 128mb, after doin a bit of research i found that B][B]Hercules 3D Prophet and ATI Sapphire do this and are quite exact, in price as well. If people had experience with both or know which of the two are better, that will be great

I can't compare the two, but I have a Sapphire Radeon 9700 which has given me no problems at all. I'm surprised they are a similar price, as mine was much cheaper than the herc. All the reviews I've read suggest that there's nothing in it in terms of perfermance between Sapphire and Hercules cards with the same chip.

Don't know if thats of any help at all- but I tried

another question ... would this crad also perform well for such games as MoH:Allied Assault, Battlefield1942 and UT2003. Would it also be a good investment for the future?

hi esemte

I have the Sapphire radeon8500 64mb ddr running with a Athlon 1333 mhz and 256 mb crucial pc133 ram and it runs unreal tournament nice along with about twenty other games without a hitch.Only problem I have is it freezes playing Nascar 2002.I think that may be the Via chipset or maybe the video driver.Thinking of going to 512mb of ram too.
