How to edit a video file

What software is best suited to edit a video file,
with the idea to post a copyright message at the bottom right hand side of the video file all the way though the video?

Any suggestions would be great,

Thx

I think it really all depends on your price range.

Hi Battery Powered

Fuze sez it all, as it depends on your buget. There are "nice" programs from free (like in the OS) to about $50 -100 US.

Then your have Premire and Ulead's Media Study Pro (which I use) for about $600 each.

you should try www.download.com and seach for "video editiing" and see what they offer, they usualy have many different software selections some are totally free, freeware, trial versions, I think it would be a nice place to try a few different progs see what suits you best. Hope it helps.

Hi Battery Powered

I hope this isn't a lame question, but what did you use to do the work for your client?
