Overclocking Albatron GeForce4 Ti4200P Turbo

Hello!

I've been looking around the net to get information on overclocking my GeForce 4 TI4200P Turbo... I couldn't find any information consistent enough that would help me out..

What can I use to increase the GPU clock.. can I increase it to 300mhz while keeping the same stability...

Could anyone guide me just a little through that.

Thank you
Droopy

PowerStrip is the best utility to use for overclocking your video card. You can download it here: www.entechtaiwan.com/ps.htm . It allows you to easily bump up the speed of the GPU and the memory. I recommend going up in 5mhz increments and testing to keep the system stable. Check for "artifacts", small odd looking shapes of color being displayed. If you see those, back off on the speed, its too much.

http://www.overclockers.com.au/files/CoolBits.reg

Adds a frequency tab in the GeForce settings window that you get to through display settings.

Powerstrip is good, but I don't believe it is free. Coolbits works well too.
I'm using RivaTuner and it works like a charm. It's Free and it has a Built-in 60Hz refresh fix for Windows2000/XP. ("This fix enumerates all the display modes supported by your graphics hardware and allows it to use only the maximum supported refresh rate for each display mode. ")

You can also try GeForce Tweak Utility:

Watch out for heat - ensure you have good air flow in your case.

Have fun & Good Luck,

Let me know how the overclock turns out; I put that very same card in a build, and am interested in how it overclocks.

From the few things I've read, I've heard that that card overclocks exceptionally well.

How's your overclocking coming, Droopy?

What are you using and how high have you gotten?

How's your heat?
