Video BIOS
I am not very knowledgeable so this might seem like an ignorant question but here goes:
When I downloaded a new driver for my Video Card I also noticed a new version of the video BIOS. Is this BIOS the same as the system BIOS and how do I install it? Thanks. |

No, your video card has it's own ROM-BIOS to intialize itself and such. This chip is located on the card itself, and is not physically part of the System BIOS. There's really no reason to upgrade your video BIOS unless it addresses a specific problem you're having. If you aren't having problems, I'd just leave it alone.

I pretty much agree with Alienware_Dude. I'd like to add that usually their is a listing at the manufacturer's Web site stating what the BIOS fixes and or the improvements made.
You may have a problem and not know it, so, if it exists, read the reasons for the update and go from there. TwoRails |
