Error loading game (B17 Flying Fortress - The Mighty 8th

Hello once more,

I made some postings earlier in January about the various problems I have had loading and running games (Combat Flight Sim/Medal of Honor) on my newly-build A7N8X DX board with GeForce2 vid card.

I have swapped the RAM around and reloaded the drivers but still problems:::

What is new is that when trying to load B17 Flight Sim, the installation failed, and I got the following message: (It happened at 65%)

‘Component Transfer Error:
Component: Program Files
File group: Resources
File: D:\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)’

Does this strike a chord with anyone here on the forum? If I can get an answer to this, then maybe I can start to sort the other vid problems. Oh, there shouldn’t be any problem running my GeForce2 card with the A7N8X mobo should there? Someone suggested I could put a newer card in, but I don’t have the cash for that.

BTW, the system seems really solid now, with no BSODs at all (had been getting lots, an IE crashed a lot too, but hasn’t done so recently.
