Blessed are those who can spend 500 bucks every 6 months.

I would build another computer before I shell out $500+ for a video card...

A guy can dream can't he? If I had the money I'd dish out $500 for it. yeah, you can build a nice Internet/word app. computer for that price, but thats boring.

Depends on your definition of having the money. Only having 500 dollars in your entire account? or having 1,000,000 dollars and being able to spare 500.

Yeah, I don't know that I'll ever be able to spare 500 dollars for a video card when I already have something halfway decent ( Ti4200). Know what I'm saying? I dunno, maybe I'm just a penny pincher.

Did I miss something? Where does it mention $500? I doubt ATI would price their card above the standard of $400 for new high-end cards. Since they are saying it is pretty much an overclocked R300 core, with the ability to support DDR-II, I'll be the 128MB version will be less than $400 and the 256MB will be $400.

I beginning to be happier and happier with my GF 3!!! There is way too much dust in the aire for me to want a new card right now..... 9700 pro is nice, the fx is yet to be truely benchmarked, and now the 9900 is due in two months? and the GF 6 later this year?

After the fx comes out, I might be able to pick up a GF 4 4600 for $60 , 'cause I need a card for my spare build, where my gf 3 is suppose to go....
