open gl subsystem

Trying to play MOHAA. Game installs fine but will not load. Recieving error stating no open gl support. I ran into this with RTCW and it was a simple fix. It was so long ago I cant remember what it was. I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to find the answer then it was an easy fix. Using my trusty GeForce 2 Ti still for now. Buying a GeForce 3 Ti from Tiger Direct now. Wont be here for a couple weeks. Anyone got an answer for me? Will I still have the same problem with the new card? Oh, im using the newest driver for Nvidia chips. 40 series.
Thanks in advance, Dan

Try re-installing your drivers or MOHAA.

The reason I suggest that is because I had the same problem, and a re-install of my Det. took care of it.

Yeah, I also had that problem with RTCW and Mohaa. The driver reinstallation worked fine.

I did reinstall my video drivers two days ago. Got the latest and greatest from Nvidia's site. 40.something. Says that is the one I want for Windows Xp. It's also the same one that I had before uninstalling. I have direct x 8.1. This was the se3cond install of MOHAA. The first did not give me any errors, but when I went itno basic training the colors were yellow and black only with all kinds of funky lighting.

You should always reinstall DirectX after installing or reinstalling a video driver.

Will try it . The game disk has 8.1 on it. Should I uninstall then reinstall game files and Direct X 8.1 together?

You can't uninstall DirectX without a 3rd party tool like DirectXBuster, so you reinstall over the top, do NOT try to install an earlier version, only the same or newer.
