Saitek 3D Force Joystick Question
I just received this joystick today and have one question for other users. I notice that the pitch and roll is not spring loaded and thus does not automatically return to the neutral position when released, while the twist rudder control is. Is this normal? I'm used to my old Microsoft stick where everything returns to neutral when pressure is released.

Stupid question, of course they're not spring loaded.

This is kind of off-topic, but I think force-feedback improves the flight experience 200%. I just got a FF joystick, and I love it!

I agree, if I can get it working right. You would think joystick installation would be simple. Every time power is applied to the stick Win98SE finds it as new hardware and installs software for it.

beerman: There is no such thing as a stupid question on these forums - except for an unasked question!
The M$ FF joysticks I've seen only recenter when power is applied, when power goes off, it just flops around. |
