Im so heated.. i cant get this hunka junk tv tuner card to work ..
I have a fresh install of xp i updated everything the bios windows and my Nvida card drivers.. For the life of me i cant get this dang tv tuner card to work now. It worked before without a hitch . The device manager is telling me that multimedia controller and MM video controller drivers are not installed. they each have the yellow ! next to them. Ive tried all the exe at the ati site the ati control center runs a compatibility test and tells me that its ati graphics chip was not found on my system ... I never had an ati video card but it worked fine before. Im completely stumped and annoyed. I cant get any video capture drives from nvida to install either. Are there any other drivers i can try ? WDM drivers wont install on my system and its getting frustrating. |

First try that TV card in another slot.
I know the ATI TV card will only work with Nvidia driver version 4.11 and not later driver versions. Apparently there is a glitch with ATI TV cards and Nvidia video cards. Trust me I've been through this. I had the same problem. After some research I found this out. After using this driver it worked. Although I'm not sure if this driver will work on the XP operating system. Check through the drivers at www.driverguide.com you might get lucky and find a driver that will work. Another way to solve the problem is to switch video cards. Last edited by highrisemech; 02-08-2003 at 08:20 AM. |
