AGP x8

Basically i`m doing a build for someone and they want a GeForce 4 MX 440. The Asus mobo he wants is AGP x8. Does this mean the MX has to be AGP x8 compliant?

He also wants a firewire card. The mobo comes with firewire. Does this mean i still need to get f/w card? Or is it on-board?

i think they are backwards compatible, and if the mobo has firwire, i think the case would have to have the port built in to be able to use it off the board

Any AGP 1.5 volt card will work in an 8x slot, the GF4 MX is compatible.

The firewire port is built in to the motherboard - it will be either on the ATX port block or it will come with a slot adapter, he doesn't need a card.
