greedo (TSO)The Sims Online

Does anyone have it? Is it good? Anyone play it on 56k(not AOL)? if so does it lag bad? What do you get with an account?

I've looked at the official site but it doesn't offer much info(figures)...

The reviews I have seen on it were not very good. I couldn't tell anything about connection speed requirements. Most IT News sites have stories on it. I haven't played it but one of my kids was wanting it and I decided against it after reading the reviews.

Apparently there isn't much to do but hang out and talk to other users. I think was like forty dollars the first month and ten dollars a month after that.

Besides my daughter is to young to hang out in bars, even if it is on the internet

Yeah you pay $40 for the game plus get a "free" month then gotta pay $9 per month after.

I want something kinda MMORPG but don't want it to be sci-fi or anything like that, so I just started looking at TSO. Played Ultima Online for 4 months but the quality stunk and OSI is always changing things(most of the time they make it worse by doing so).

i was selected as the basically first 2 or 3 people to test it outside of ea and maxis. It was pretty fun for awhile (especially since it was free being a test and all) but it just basically became AIM with graphics. I loved it at first but I overplayed it and never went back to it.

That planetside game looks amazing. That will be huge. thousands of players in one game!?!? depending on what the monthly fee is, I will be awaiting the release.

It's only going to be around $12 to be competitive with the other MMO games.
