dual monitor card
In the display properties/setup I have two monitors. My primary monitor is 19in hp mx90 at 1600X1200. I have 15 inch monitor that I set up on radeon 9700 pro card on the dvi via an adapter. I took the second monitor off the card, because I just don't need it. However, In the display properties control panel, I can choose secondary adapter in a drop down box and even go so far as to disable it. Can I do this safely?

If you are asking if you can disable the secondary display which you are not using, yes you can. Make sure you don't have a profile loading that uses that display also.
I have never had any problems with ATI cards but a few times with the early Matrox dual heads I had a few problems if I didn't completely remove a secondary display I wasn't using any longer. I don't know if it was the fault of the card or it's Win9X driver. |

Thank you, tuf. I did disable it and there hasn't been a problem with it.
