Runtime errors when playing MOHAA

During gameplay it fails with runtime errors..msg:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime error !
Program: G\Games II\ Medal of Honour\MOHAA.EXE
Abnormal program termination.

Did not have this problem when playing demos but since installing both MOHAA & Spearhead this started happening.
Have uninstalled /installed ..running with Nvidia driver 4.0.7.2 with Gforce2.
Has this happened to anyone else or has anybody any ideas ?

That happened to me on a system I built, but while running 3DMark. Do you, by any chance, have a VIA-based mainboard?

My problem was the AGP driver. Do any other 3D games crash?

Also, exactly what board do you have? What 4-in-1 version? You might want to try 4.38(at least the AGP); that's what cleared up the problem for me. I hear the very latest Hyperions are optimized for the newest VIA-based boards, and don't work very well on older boards. If you can't find them anywhere, I could e-mail them to you.

As far as I am aware no other 3d games fails with this error. Among others I play Battlefield 1942 and that runs okay. The board is a Matsonic MS8127C+ I cant recall what 4 in 1 I have but I will check it out. In the meantime, thanks for the ideas.

Try 4.38, but create a Restore Point first. I don't think 4.40 is the version included with XP, but I could be wrong.
