Anyone played Mafia?

The City of Lost Heaven

this is a really good game, its like GTA3, but way more story to it and i think the missions are better too. Its also a lot more detailed.
I just completed this game, including the full 19 missions in free ride extreme, some of the cars you unlock are nice. The crazy horse is just mental!!

Anyway, if anyone has this game/played it, post what you think of it.

and if you havent got/played it, go get it, top game!!
If you liked GTA3, you would love this

no, its hardly anything like hitman 2 really, except its in 3rd person and you can shoot people, as i said, i think its more of a GTA3 style game.

id get it if i were you. the detail on the peoples faces is pretty good aswell the men even have stubble and the like.

game is pretty fun. i like how you use the mouse & keyboard to move around and a hand controller for the cars.

I have been playing it for a couple of weeks now and i am hooked. The detail in the game is amazing. Definity one of the best games i have ever played.

it took me about 5 goes to do it, but if you get ahead in the beginning and brake hard for the tricky corners with rocks on the sides, you can get quite far ahead, as the computer cars slow down a lot for quite a few of the corners, a friend said he did it by taking a shortcut down the side of the track and before it resets you, press Num0 to reset your car on the track and it resets you on the next lap, although i could never figure out how to do it.

I played it a while ago.
if youre somewhat into 'godfather' movies and such, and thirties style, you ll like this game(i know i did).
the only negative i found was the low replayability. the 'extreme' mode is fun for awhile but i find some of these missions just plain idiotic.
i really loved it when playing the 'story'
but it didnt really last long after i finished it once.
i played it fine on my ol' duron 800 (with pretty low settings of course)
but ive read about pple with top notch systems having mad problems with this game at several forums.
i thinks they should have waited a little longer before releasing it
(for example there are a few great special cars that are allmost finished and are in the date files, but not in the game, )

no, no patch, you ll have to search some mafia forums or sites,
i used mafia Xtractor and browsed trough the data files.
i know there's a grey mitsubishi jeep that
looks alot like the one in this years paris dakar, a beetle kind of car, a big foot taxi with a few skinning errors. i have seen some pics on the net of these cars in game too but cant seem to find em anymore.

if you want to get these in game youll need to extract entire date files to your hd, which takes up a LOT of space.

i found a site but its in chech i think
http://mafia.bonusweb.cz/

it has a lot of zips and rars with addon cars(new for me too), and also a link for mafia xtractor
i havent tried any of these myself though (formatted a few weeks ago, dont have it installed anymore on the moment)
maybe ask around on mafia forums if you really want to get these extra cars.
