ati 9700 pro drivers

I just built my new build, and windows loaded fine without installing the drivers for my video card. I have not tried any video intensive programs, should I go ahad and insert the CD that came with my video card, and install drivers etc, or should i wait and see if i get any errors.

Install DirectX, and then go to ati.com and get the latest Catalyst drivers.

thanks, i think ill donwload the catalsyt 3.1 once i get my new build up on the network.
I installed Hitman 2 earlier today, and it came with directX8.1 on the CD, if I download 9.0 and install it will it just update the 8.1 or should i get rid of 8.1 first?

DX 9 is probably more trouble than it's worth.
