I was wondering which has the best performance for highend games.

I am also trying the 32 meg DDR Radeon card.
So far, not impressed,
I am going to format and reinstall my software with all the updated drivers, If I can't see a difference it is going back for a voodoo3.

currently, it doesn't look as good as the 8 meg pci card I just took out of my system. That is why I am going to try a clean install, incase for some odd reason it is trying to use my old driver files.

Since my old 16 meg voodoo banshee still shows up in my display options in games.

So far,the biggest advantage to WinME that I can see is the quicker boot up time, and more preinstalled drivers. Other than that, I haven't seen any gaming improvements or anything else worth mentioning. I can't say that it's any more stable, I don't see why people had all these problems with Win98 to begin with though. If you do get WinME plan on a clean install, not an upgrade. You can do clean install from the upgrade disk. Mine didn't even ask me for the Win98 disk on a freshly formatted HD. Maybe another drive had the right kind of file on it?

I never had a personal problem on my systems with win98, prefectly stable for me...Maybe this weekend I will take my computer to work and format and reinstall so I can use the T-1 for my updates.....Then I should be set...Just going to stick with 98 for now then....

Hi

Byte- I use Win ME and I can say the games run slightly faster on Win98 but I like Win ME so thats why I use it

BTW. In my other AMDK6-2 500 system I had to put back in my PCI V3 2K because my new V4 4500 AGP was somehow giving me some seriously low frame rates for some weird reason

Here are some benchmarks that show the two to have identical performance for UT and QIII
