I have recently just decided to play this game once again and decided to install it around the end of February. I have not played this game since I had my old AMD 550 which was about one or two years ago. Since then I have bought an AMD Athelon XP2100 with a VIA chipset, Windows XP Pro, Audigy sound card, and geForce4 440 MX card. I installed the game and tried to play and suddenly the game crashes to the Windows XP blue screen to give me an error report.
It gave the message IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL I immediately called into the place where I had bought my components and asked them. No help there. Charged me $35 for a diagnostics test and no help. So I reinstalled everything on the 28th of February and it seemed like everything was working properly. I updated ALL my drivers, BIOS, chipset, games, and whatever else. Still Baldurs Gate would crash giving me the same error or it wouldnt say the "IRQL_...." Anyways. I have replaced my DDR Ram and bought an extra 512 stick to boot and this game still crashes. Any suggestions???? Thanks |

Hi Acid-Klutch and welcome to the PC Mech forums!
![]() Have you tried Black Isle's web site and/or forums for answers about this? I tried installing BG2 in XP Pro and it also crashed, altho not with a blue screen. Found this in the Game Banshee forums: http://gamebanshee.com/forums/showth...threadid=22020 HTH

Hi Pooh, just checking to see if you got any responses... You can modify your signature in the usercp menu and include your system specs there for future reference.
See you doo. Here comes my signature

Sorry for the confusion Nuke, Acid is my brother...
I had just told him to stop in here for his question. That would probably have been better served as a private msg, but I didn't want to confuse him!
