Talking Download GTA1 for free

Rockstar Games released a new version of GTA1, the site says it works with modern PCs and modern versions of Windows, it's available for download for free:
http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/
Have fun!

I still think that is the best one of the GTAs. I remember the media saying it was banned in Brazil or somewhere, which was why I decided to get it. I never cared for GTA2 and the third tries too hard. The first had just enough plot (none) and just enough gore (lots). Doom, Quake, Mortal Kombat, Minesweeper; all follow the same pattern and all are successes. ;)

Respectfully,

Demosthenes

Well maybe if you download Download Accelerator, you could stop the download when you wanted to, and restart it, and so on. Take a while, but it might be worth it if you really enjoy the game. Thats what I did with some really big downloads.

I'm a dial-up user too, and I'm willing to download the file, but looks like the site doesn't support download managers, if someone manages to get this site to work with a download manager, please let me know!

Is there a copy on an FTP server somewhere?

HTTP is tedious on Dial-up!

Finally a company that relises that many people want to play older games, great job on freely distributing it.

Has anyone had any problems running it? I downloaded it today and it froze during the install, and I had to delete it, as the uninstallation files did not get installed.

Good God.
Does the server not support byte offsets for resuming?
No wonder their traffic is so high.

Respectfully,
