different city... MOTORCYCLES!!!! Helicopters... and you can get mutiple houses all over the city. That's about it... otherwise it's basically the same idea.

Ok the mototrcycles are good, the gameplay and how everything is done in VC is 100% better, but in my opinion, GTA3's acctuall city was better. Vc's city is already extremely old to me

there are many differences....

- 80's Music which is great
- Slightly Better Graphics
- Newer Bigger City
- More guns
- You can own property in this one. From Car dealerships, Ice Cream Factories, Taxi Cab Business, To countfitting money or "Pole Position" Strip club as well as houses....
- Personally I think the storyline is a little better in this one... - The game length is about the same at GTA 3, but now TOmmy Verceti Actually talks in this game.
- MIssions are better because its not always just go here and waste him... I think they have a bit more of a meaning to them
- Motorcycles, Boats, tons of sports cars, a 2 seater plane, and helicopters... after you beat the game you get to fly an apache helicopter
- Along with Vigilante, Paramedic, Taxi, and Fire truck mini missions you can also dirt bike, street race, do pizza boy and ice cream truck missions as well....

Its different and improved from GTA 3. Once you play it... you will appreciate what it's got that GTA 3 doesnt have.

PC games always have better graphics, GTA3 on PC put the PS2 version to shame

I ran them next to each other and the PS2 resolution was worse than 640x480x32 on PC

you want to play a good GTA3 style game but the missions and story line are so much better, get mafia, its an absolutely amazing game, beats GTA3s arse all over, even though it plays a little slower, the graphics are sooo much better aswell

I like Mafia very much too, a great mixture between GTA and Max Payne.

the max payne on ps2 was horrible because of hardware restraints.

I wonder if the system requirement will be the same or possibly more taxing. My PC is four years old this month and it can barley play GTA III, thats after all the preformance patches, and turning the graphics all the way down.

MY Predicament:450Mhz PIII (overclocked to 500Mhz)
128 Mb sd ram PC 100
Diamond Viper V770 TNT2 Pro 2x AGP
(165Mhz overclocked to 175Mhz)

So if the requirments go up I will be dissapointed.

I should think that they would either be the same or maybe less, cos GTA3 took the piss really, and they probably realised that and could have made a newer more efficient engine for vice city, cos the GTA3 engine was awful at handling resources, if you had a low end systme, forget it, i think they would try extra hard to make VC more playable on a lower spec PC than GTA3

I mean, my system below, this wouldnt play GTA3 until i got my Ti4200, it played no better than on a PIII 1Ghz

max payne WAS aeful on PS2, way too hard to do anything with bullet time, not like on PC where you could kill everyone in a room with one bullet time, good old mouse
