Well...Theres Alot Of Things To Consier Here...One Being What Game Or Games He's Trying To Play, Second, What Are His Full Computer Stats, And Thirdly What Level Of Detail/Resolution/Options Is He Using? ...Personally I Don't Know Much About ATI Cards But Does He Plan On Running Anything With Antiailasing Or Ansitropic Filering Or Anything Of The Like On ...So I'm Afraid My Friend That Untill I Have A BIT More Info Your Answer Could Be Anything From 20FPS To 200FPS :P

Peronally With My Stats, I Can Run UT2K3 At 640x480 Full Options And Get About 40-50FPS ...Thats No AA Or AST Filter ...So...And I've Heard People Say Stuff Like "I Got This Here GeForce4 TI-4600 128MB DDR Card and I Can't Get Crap For Frames, MUST Be A Crappy Video Card!!!" ...Which Is TOTTALY Not True ...I've Seen Someones 3D Preformance TRIPLE By Upgrading From A Duron 1GHz Chip & 256 PC-2100 DDR Ram To A XP 1700+ And 512MB OF PC-2100 DDR, Which Was On A GeForce 256 16MB SDR....I Bet My Frames Would SMOKE His With The Same Upgrades! So Take That Into Consideration.......
Ok - I'm Done My Rant For This Month :P |

If you really want to find out, try running a benchmark program. That is pretty much the only way you can do it. Trying to guess from the system specs is next to impossible there are more factors involved than just the hardware brands. Hardware imperfections and certain software and drivers also contribute to the amount of fps.

Ok Ok I See Here ...Sorry To Tell You But That Card *Might* Be Just A BIT Underpowered To Run It At 1024x768 Properly...Try 800x600 At 32Bit...Or Even Just Lower The 1024x768 To 16 Bit Color ... Or Turn Down The Slider That Says "Draw Distance" To About 5 Or So Of Those Block Things It's Measured In ...Now If You Meant "Blocky" As In The Sides Of Polygons Are "Jaggie" That Means You Want To Turn On Antialiasing (If That Card Even Supports It, and By The Sounds Of It, Probobly Not...) I Know Personally That That Game Is Power Hungry If You Turn Up The Draw Distance To Full And Run It At 1024x768 ..Lookie At My Stats...I Can't Do That...Hell, I Run It at 640x480 With 32Bit Color & Full Draw Distance... It Don't Look Half Bad Eather...But I Would Like Some AA On My Card :P

its the cards fault, anything under Geforce 4 Ti4200 ATi Radeon 9500 and this game would run crappy on a 2.6Ghz P4, i had a Geforce 2 MX400 in my system at christmas, and GTA3 sucked, whack in a Ti4200 and watch the frame rates fly, it makes the cars way easier to control aswell with faster FPS
