A couple of questions. It is an AGP or PCI card? What games are you playing, at what resolution is the game set at? . All of these affect the performance of your video card. The higher the resolution the game runs at, and the higher the detail settings are, the lower your fps will be. The games age changes the fps as well. Older games are not as intensive as new ones. Try running 3dMark2001 and post back with your score. You can download it here: http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark2001.shtml HTH

i have a athlon 1800 with a radeon ve
(basically a 7000). i havent really tried games on it (my dads pc) but i seem to remember from a previous post that 7000 cards are not really gaming cards.
anyone knows if this is correct?
i guess it ll run most new games, but not with too high settings.

like Alaron56 noted, doing a 3dmark test and comparing your score should give you some idea about it.

There are too many variables to give one answer.... Basically, if the games look good while you're playing them, then the FPS are OK.

One game may only show 25 fps, but look good, and other games will run at 70 fps and also look good. all on the same machine.
