A buddy of mine bought it and he says he likes it, but he also likes Jeopardy.

I don't think I'd buy it.

Not the TV show... the game that came out over 3 years ago. The original Jeopardy PC Game. It blew badly!

Why would you even buy the game when you can just sit there and watch it on TV, its basically the EXACT same thing is it not??

Jeopardy Rules!!! If you watch Jeopardy and can answer 90% of the answers then I suggest you try to make an audition. They hold them around the country at various times of the year.
I did and was on in 2001 won some cash, won my first game, and a trip to Hawaii, they were still giving trips to 2nd place finishers.
Just passing the audition was a hoot!

My wife bought the CSI game the other day. I sat down with it at 5:30 and was through all five missions by 10:00 with fairly high scores (90%+) except for the last mission. If you watch the show, you have a pretty good idea of what to do and it seems pretty easy. It is definitely entertaining but has virtually no replay value. I would say its worth $20 or so but not much more than that. In other words, you are not going to miss anything by waiting for this one to hit the bargain bin before buying it, but it is certainly worth a look when it gets cheap.
