Computer Crashing During Games!!!!!!!!

This a recurrent problem ive been having for awhile and im tired of it. Everytime I play a game on my computer like some massive multiplayer games the game will play for a while but eventually the screen will flicker and the screen freezes or changes to a bunch of vertical colored stripes. It happens on different games using different operating systems, i.e. Win 98, Win ME. Please someone help me.

That sounds a lot like it might be an overheating problem. If it is happening with more than one game in more than one OS it's probably not a software issue. Try running your computer with the side of the case off and see if it solves your problem. Also check if your video card fan is spinning and give it a blast with canned air.

i was having this same problem sort of. for no reason at all my computer would lock up and my monitor would look like a striped peice of candy. turns out the power supply connector to the MOBO was loose, and the slightest movement would freeze my system. make sure all your cables are in goosd.
