How will it run?!?!
How, do you guys think, DoD and Cs (Day of defeat and Counterstrike, for those of you who dont know) will run on this pc :
Pentium 4 2.53 256 DDR 2700 Sound blaster 5.1 Geforce4 MX (ya i know, the card sucks, but hey, what are you going to do? )

Counterstike runs perfect smooth on my PIII 800 + GeForce 2 GTS so it shouls run on your PC as well.
Don't know about DoD, but if it's a newer game then you should get a better graphics card. If you run out of money you could take a slower CPU, such as P4 1.8 GHz. A fast graphics card is more important than a fast CPU for games. RJ

DoD is a mod of HalfLife so it should run just fine with that video card. Same as CS would.

the point in this case is the card. it'll run fine and everything but the card is the main issue whereas the CPU is just overkill. Maybe get some more ram.

well there should be no problem running a decent fps on these games, I doubt you will get up to the 60fps mark

You're fully competitive, DoD is fine on that card.
Before you bust your budget, what else do you play? If HL mods are your thing note that more powerful cards may give you more trouble then you want ( how many problems do you want to borrow that could have been avoided?). Yes, there are other cards, but do you need one ? |

you WILL go higher than 60fps with that.. with my GF2 gts I get 100 almost all the time (P3 800, 256mo SDram) if you're just playing those games well ok but I do think that card is not enough powerfull for other newer games.
