yea www.gamecopyworld.com but I prefer www.megagames.com ... and I don't think they can catch you using this... eh. or another legal way is to installe Virtual CD, and copy your game cd on your hd... I did it with war3 and it's working great.

As long as your CD key is legit, there should be no problem using a no-cd exe file.

use at your own risk, but is it really worth the risk for the inconvenince of swapping a cd?

If you legally bought the game and you have a legit CD-KEY, then you can download the NO CD patch, if you did not buy the game, it is illegal and you might get caught sooner or later.

i3, I doubt he is doing this just so he doesnt have to swap a CD, most likely borrowed game that he wants to keep, but I say let him. Hell, Im using an illegally copied copy of windows, but I like to stick it to mister gates, thats what he gets for asking 200-300 canadian for his OS

I haven't had much luck getting BF1942 no cd patches to work, since it sometimes checks the CD even between maps, not when you just open the game.

You could always rip an image of one of the CDs and mount it as a drive with Daemon Tools tho.

The proper NO CD patch will work fine for the game. It will still ask you for a game CD, none the less, you can just insert your back up when it asks you for the game CD while playing...

why not just use daemon tools? Just make a cd image through clone cd, then mount it to the virtual cd drives and you're all set.

I am no geek and this is really easy to do.

I use it for all my 'cd must be in drive' games; works like a charm.

Firstly, there is nothing wrong with using a NO-CD patch with a game that you have purchased. Secondly, you are wrong that the inconvenience of swapping a CD is the only reason for doing so. Many new protection methods do not work very well on some CD-drives. Just to give you an example the protection measures used on the CD of the new FPS game "Vietcong" make your frame rates drop by up to 50% depending on what CD-rom drive you have. This problem can be easily fix by applying the NO-CD patch for the game. I would hardly call a drop in frame rates form 40 to 20 a second a small inconvenience.

Best Wishes
Jack

Yes, because not only is it convenient but it's also has better performance. For instance after buying my copy of UT2003 I found the performance playing off the CD was okay, but I then tried the no-cd patch and having a 8mb cache HDD, there was a huge difference in performance. As far as your CD key not working because you use the no-cd key I never heard such of a thing. What I know of is people getting cracked CD codes and those codes no longer work on the "newer" versions of the software. For instance the popular download game "Snood", I know people that found key generators, but because they downloaded the newest version of the game those keys didn't work because the key generators were made for previous versions and the makers of Snood picked up on that and programmed their code not to work with those keys.
