That's being stuck between a rock and a hard place. But look, even if it doesn't work, you got one of the best video cards on the market!

do a search of these forums for both the hardware and software mods that are available. If your really worried that it may not go right do a search for "failed 9500 mods" on google.

TimPoet, if it doesn't work, he may have to RMA the card.

I have heard bad stories of the 9500 mod bombing. I feel safe though because I could only afford the 9500 pro!

doing the search on google for "failed 9500 mods", I found quite a few hits, the good news is that the success rate is about 2/3 and if you do the software mod then it is reversible. If you do decide on going through with the mod, good luck, and post the results.

if you were going to RMA the card as it didnt work, what would be your excuse?
when i RMAd my card it took about a week of explaining to them that the card was buggered before they even gave me an RMA request

Why RMA the card? You have a top of the line video card that runs right along with the GF4s.... Enjoy it and kick butt on your games!

How do you know it didn't work?

Anyways, just uninstall the drivers... all the softmod does it patch the drivers. When you have the drivers reinstalled try modding it into a Pro.
