Personally I would be a little leary of having a program take care of the updates for you, it might makes things better or it might makes things worse. Just my .02 cents.

Such programs might have some value on keeping track of patches for older games. Most of us tend to be quite au fait with patch releases for our favourite, current games.

not to mention any un necessary software is bad, especialy when running windows, it causes instability if it has errors, and gobbles up system recources
