Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb problem!
I just got IJATET(man, I don't want to have to write that out again!), and there appears to be a slight bug: the FPS is limited to 31. My specs are in my sig. I know this because even if I'm running at 640x480, the FPS will still only go up to 31. I've tried screwing with every option I can think of, and no, it doesn't make a difference even if vsynch is off. It doesn't really bother me, except it gives me a terrible headache, and I can't play the game! Can anyone help? I'm using Catalyst 3.2. Thanks!

Whats your FPS at 800X600, 1024X768? If they are 31 as well then your right it is a bug, have your downloaded the latest patches for the game?

Yes, at every resolution(640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x960)that the game supports, with Shadows On or Off, my FPS stays constant at 31. I looked, but I don't think there are any patches yet. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

Did a bit of googleing and it seems to be a common issue. I would say put it at the highest settings that does not drop you below that 31fps and wait for the patches to be released.

Is it a common issue with ATI cards, or the game? Can you give me some links? Thanks for your help!

Bump, Trent, can you provide me with some links? For the life of me, I can't find *anything* on this issue!

Okay here are a few
http://www.actiontrip.com/reviews/in...rorstomb.phtml "More importantly, though, I've experienced a noticeable drop in the frame rate on the outdoor levels. Lousy frame rates not only look bad, they also interfere with the gameplay, and it ain't like I ran the game on a slow rig: 2200XP/1GB RAM/Ti4600." http://www.extremegamer.ca/xbox/games/indianajones.php "The only problems are with some clipping as mentioned before, and some slight slowdown when multiple enemies are on screen." This was for the Xbox, but as far as I can tell this game is just a straight port from Xbox to PC http://www.gamerfeed.com/index.php?clsid=5 "Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb: I've already written a blog about this game so if you'd like to know more scroll down a bit to get my initial impressions. It's probably one of the most glitch-ridden pieces of software to ever be released but it's a lot of fun. Lately though, Indy's excessive panting has been getting on my nerves. The poor guy runs out of breath after running for a few seconds. If I could somehow get my asthma inhaler inside my television so the poor guy could breathe I would." Searching now I can't find the same info that led me to my earlier conclusion. If your decent performance out of all your other games then again it is probably just a bug in the game |

Thanks! Yes, it is a bug in the game, because as I said before, I use FRAPS to see what FPS I get in games, and IJATET limits the FPS to 31, no matter how low I set the detail. It annoys me, because I want to play with AA, but it drops the frame-rate about 10FPS. Now, if I was getting 50-70FPS, then the 10FPS drop would be fine, but since it won't go higher then 31, it drops to around 19-20. Unacceptable!
