Operation Flashpoint

so who here loves Operation Flashpoint, I got the GOTY edition and cant stop playing it, its unreal best war game out there i think

i played the original and first expansion for that game for a long time.
I very much liked it. the missions were very nicely done, and the idea of one huge island as a level was very refreshing. the ai had very nice gimmicks, you can tell an ai to step in car as driver and take you to the other end of the island, wich actually takes quite a drive.
the way of steering the choppers is fantastic. me and some of my buddies played this game for hours on lan.
one pilot and one as gunner in a hind can be real fun.
also there's (was?) quite a community for this game. there are heaps of weapon, mission, vehicle addons.
if i had more time id prolly still be playing it

I also play on a LAN, and although I agree Flashpoint is an excellent game, I still feel there are better games about for enjoyment. I know that Counterstrike still hasn't ceased to be fun, after 3 years of solid playing instead of working LOL
But BF 1942 is on a par with Op Flash I feel

i dont really know about that, i played battlefield on lan a bit (game is 2 cd's, so you can play lan if 1 person has the game), and i find it a totally different game.
The graphics of battlefield are better than ofp off course, but the realistic feel that ofp has is still unsurpassed. i cant really explain why, but even with the older graphics, ofp has that much more 'real' feeling. (maybe it's cuz its made by ex-para's)
the commands you can give to ai were better in ofp.
It depends from person to person prolly which one is the best.
