Unhappy battlefield multiplayer on network prob
Hi

I finally got our two machines at home networked. It just a straight cross over cable connecting them with no hub. Both machines use XP Home. We can share files and printers.

Tried to run Battlefield 1942 lastnight on our two machines and play a multi player game. I created the game and my brother connected. His machine says connecting to 162.xxx.xxx.xx (my ip address) then says "unable to connect"

Do I need to enable something on our machines to play multi-player games? netbui or anything like that? Or is it something to do with sharing files and folders on our machines?

Sorry for all the questions, just frustrated its not working.
