Mouse and Keyboard freezing

I'm having huge problems with my mouse and keyboard seemingly randomly freezing, the mouse goes every time I'm on the computer, usually after about 5-10 mins of use, and sometimes the keyboard freezes with it, sometimes not. I haven't installed anything new onto my computer, and I've scanned with Norton, it says there are no viruses. I'm really frustrated, and I need this computer for my job, so any assistance would be much appreciated.

Can you come back with some info about the PC itself?? Specifically the hardware specs and what type of mouse & keyboard, specifically brand type and are they PS2 utilizing the standard PS2 ports for mouse & keyboard on that PC. Have you tried the anything yet like unplugging them and reseating the connectors making sure they are in good, (unplug & replug with power off). Have you tried another mouse & keyboard???
