I think I'm going to overclock my FIC, and I'll see if I can somehow break 14,000, but I doubt it. Wolfie, is your 9700 Pro overclocked?

^- just a little gimmick type thing that helps you get higher 3dmark, but not much else. Not sure exactly what it does but the 9800's architecture enhancements can only hope to be emulated... never duplicated. Just read an article full of benches and info, dont remmber where, but thats the gist of it.

I scored:

8549

with this system, ran at 768x1024 resolution and 32bit color.

AMD Athlon XP 1800+
768MB RAM PC133
41GB IBM hdd 7200rpm
128MB ATI Radeon 9100
LCD flat panel monitor
WinXP pro (dual boot with win98_se)

but remember that the cost of my system is under $700 and that includes the $325 I spent on the flat panel monitor alone.

With no tweaks and or no OC yeah it's OK, but I have had higher scores with a 8500LE 64Mb on a lesser system. If he were to tweak it and OC it he should be able to hit around 10000

Soon as I get home I'll run defrag, also do a few uninstalls and some clean up, adjust a few settings I bet I can maybe hit 10000 without overclocking my video card (or cpu) I even had a couple applications running when I did the test, I only just downloaded it yesterday, which took a few (40MB and I'm on dial up) I'll let you guys know. Hearing that makes me feel better though, I was looking at some of these scores and when I downloaded and ran it on my system and seen the score I was sort of disapointed, but now that I see the video cards that are in some of the specs, and reading that post I feel better. Would have loved to get the Radeon 9700, I was checking it out everyday for a month or so before I got my 9100, but the price was just out of reach for me. $325 or so I think, I spent $85 for mine. When I run the test, how should I have options in the 3d program set for best results. antialiasing, and I dont have the program in front of me at the moment, but maybe it was texters 16bit or 24bit, ect... I only have the demo and havent registered yet.

Oh yea, if anyones interested here is a link that shows my systems full specs, along with a few pics. Not that it's anything spectacular, but I like it and I get the most out of it, I game on it.
