yes, if youve played red alert, its very different, and it requires quite a good PC to run properly, anything over 1G to 1.4 should run it great, i mean the game even reccomends having over a 1.8Ghz CPU

it is a good game, and the 3D effect is good, and you can interact with everything

I am planning on getting it once I have the money. I have read some reviews (Game Informer) and they gave it a 9.25 and all of my buds have had good things to say.

50 bucks is what it is at best buy. I mean, thats a console price! thats way too much for C and C no matter how good it is. By tradition, sequals, especially the fifth or higher installment should sell for a lower price. I dunno, I think that that is the trend..

i dont care about the nature of the game, it is the compaby's responsibility to the public in my opinion that if it can't create a new franchise, it should pay the public back by keeping prices moderate. I mean think about it this way: we bought C and C 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 etc, and now we are supposed to throw down 50 bones and shelve those other games? that doesn't make sense from a moral standpoint.

Awsome game but totally different form previous ones (obviously, its called improvement lol) when your playing theres pauses in the game when big events happen and you watch a little movie for a few secs the resume playing. sorta like after each mission in red alert 2 + yuris... official site http://www.ea.com/eagames/official/c...als/launch.jsp its funny that minimum requirements are 800 mhz but recommended is 1.8 ghz lol

cheers

that means that with 800 mhz, the game will operate at a blistering 5 frames per second! and at 1.8 ghz it will move at a BEARABLE pace and at 2.5 ghz it will move quite nicely! (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration...)

Ah well they probably just put that on so they can sell more copies I like the way they describe the chinese as "sleek as a bullet train" but they are as fast as lame donkey with a hernia! Do you reckon they will bring out an expansion pack then? I still mass the cheesy cut scenes

Wait wait they didn't say that about chinese peeps - i can see how that can be the wrong way. In the command and conquer website they quote the chinese army as being "sleek as a bullet train" (even though bullet trains are japanese) however when you play the game you will find that the chinese army is extremely slooooooww ....... but powerful - the overlord tanks are fantastic- "i am big" twin anthrax cannoned optional gattling gun/bunker mounted on top and just general "big mother"!

Sos for the confusion

Im gonna start a new thread about the C&C vids see what peeps thinK!

Yes! C&C Generals! Great game! I'm going to upgrade my vid card just for this one! I've got an Athlon XP1700+ w/ a Radeon 8500 64MB and I've had to turn down some of the graphic goodies to get the game to run smoothly. I can't tolerate that. This game requires a killer box, but it's worth it.

Yeah i just completed it - does anyone know what happens when you get all of the awards?

I played it on normal and was fooled into thinking that it was a good level to try it on - due to the last china mission being really hard to do i thought it was the learning curve however i found the GLA missions and the USA very easy - looks like i will have to try it again on hard
