The first command and conquer is called "Command and Conquer"
I am pretty sure that I have more than one copy if you are unable to find it, but if you can find "Command and Conquer Worldwide Warfare" you will be getting all the pre tiberian sun C&C Nope I do not have it, but here is a link to get it http://www.mobygames.com/game/sheet/gameId,1452/ Last edited by sdkfz; 04-06-2003 at 08:20 PM. |

Requirements are pretty minimal. I ran it just fine on a 486 33MhZ SX processor, with 8 megs of ram. It took only about 10 megs of harddrive space. With your specs it should run without a problem. But the original was a dos game, I don't know if it could run on a windows platform, or if it was re-released for windows.

It was released for windows. The Windows 95 version had also SVGA screen modes. The game's a blast!

I thought the old C & C games were kinda simplistic and slow when I went back to try some again. Same thing with Warcraft 1. Still quite a bit of fun, but in the same way NES games like Bump and Jump are still fun even with access to Gran Turismo.
Speaking of which, anybody played the Dune games for Sega Genesis? Those are supposed to be seminal RTS games. I'd say the old Castles 1 for PC had some minor RTS elements, but not enough to truly be the first of the genre. Okay, I'll stop rambling now. |
